Oda Bultum University is a newly established Ethiopian public university located in Ethiopia. The Oda Bultum University (OBU) is one of the public higher learning institutions established in November 2015. Oda Bultum University has 31 undergraduate regular programs, 6 undergraduate continuing education programs, and 2 summer programs.

New Degrees

  • Masters of Science of degree (MSc): Oda Bultum University is currently completed preparation to launch training in ‘Masters of Science Degree in Agroforestry and Soil Management’ under Regular Programme in College of Natural Resource and Environmental Science.
  • Admission Process:  Candidates shall pass the entrance examination offered by the university.
  • Eligibility: Candidate with BSc in: Plant sciences, Agroforestry, Forestry, Crop production, Soil science, Animal sciences, Horticulture, Biology, Natural Resources Management, Rangeland and Ecotourism, Agricultural extension and rural development, Soil and watershed management and Related fields.

Location:

The University is located at Chiro town in West Hararghe zone of the Oromia National Regional State. It is located at 325 km southeast of Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia.

Graduation

One of the young government higher education institutions in Ethiopia, Oda Bultum University, graduated its 1st Batch of 558 students on July 20, 2019, at ceremony held in the main campus.  The University graduated the students with BA and   BSc. Degrees from its regular education program upon completion of their three to four years of studies.
